Veronica Grow

Veronica has a wealth of experience as a Design Educator and Communication Design Professional. Her thirteen years as educator have taken her to Italy, Singapore and the Middle East when she wrote and delivered the first Graphic Design Program for Kuwait's Box Hill TAFE in 2008. She held an academic position in the Communication Design Program at RMIT as lecturer for six years (2000 – 2005), and has also taught at many private design colleges. She has a Graduate Diploma in Art & Design Education from Melbourne University, and a Masters of Cross Disciplinary Design from UNSW COFA. Currently she is realigning the quality and value of education for tomorrow’s designers by founding a completely different place of learning called Old School the New School for Design and Typography. With a craft based approach to design practice, the School’s vision is to support designers to think holistically and use their individual strengths to help make the world a better place. Her role as a Communication Design Professional from 1999 – 2012 has seen her work as both Designer and Design Manager, creating Communication Collateral for a broad range of clients from Corporations such as BHP Minerals, to grass roots Community Health NFP’s. Her Masters Project about social inclusion was exhibited in 2012 as part of the Human Rights Art and Film Festival, and as an Independent Author, she also designed, self published and marketed this Masters Project as the Independent Book Title: "The What the Hell is Your Problem Kit." She is currently collaborating on her next Indie Book Title called “Cantina” which is also about social inclusion.
