In just under a week, Melbourne’s 1000 £ Bend will play host to the opening night of DiCE. DiCE – short for Digital Independent Cinema Exhibition – aims to bring quality independent digital cinema to a home-turf audience via screenings at 1000 £ Bend’s Speakeasy Cinema.
The first film being showcased is Braille, an action/thriller which marks the feature debut of director Matthew Chuang.
Each DiCE event will close the gap between filmmakers and their audience through on-stage discussions with key figures from the night’s viewing after each screening. At the October 6th opening event, the Braille team (including Chuang, producer Luke Graham and principal cast and stunt coordinator Zero Murray) will be joined in conversation by Peter Krausz, head of the AFCA.
With further events lined up for November 23rd and December 22nd, DiCE is set to become a permanent monthly fixture of the Melbourne film calendar.
Tickets for DiCE events can be purchased at the website, or at the venue on the night.
