Emerging designer – Davide Cavuoto

Each month we ask a lecturer/academic from Australia to introduce one of their students to the design industry.

Student: Davide Cavuoto
University of South Australia

Lecturer: David Blaiklock
Course coordinator, Illustration Design,
School of Art, Architecture and Design,
University of South Australia

Davide Cavuoto is currently undertaking the graduate diploma in Visual Arts and Design at the University of South Australia. Specialising in illustration design, his work is intelligent, cheeky and humorous. His visual narratives provide insightful perspectives on the minute and mundane in everyday life. Davide’s images are developed from analogue mediums such as watercolour, pen, ink and collage, then refined and resolved digitally. Supported by Match Studio, the multidisciplinary research and industry interface at the School of Art, Architecture and Design, Davide is investigating and applying his narratives to large-scale community-based projects in order to transform the perception of public space within communities.
