Sandcastles just got a whole lot cooler

So it would appear an Italian designer, Enrico Dini really likes building sandcastles. So much so he’s built a 3D printer that is able to print structures out of sand. Yes, sand!

A computer running CAD software controls thousands of nozzles on the underside of his D-Shape printer. They spew out layer upon layer of sand, each 5 to 10mm thin, bound together with magnesium-based goo that makes the whole thing hard as a rock.

Sandcastles are serious business, apparently.
