How can we make the life of a cyclist a little easier? Melbourne Bikefest is putting this question to you, the designer, and is hoping for a few innovative ideas to be heading its way.

2010′s Better by Bike competition attracted entries such as bamboo bicycles, and the ever popular ‘Don’t Door Me’ stickers for car rear view mirrors, and this year has already seen pedal powered mobile phone chargers and bike helmet fine rebate ideas. The winning design will be announced at the Better by Bikes Awards Ceremony on Sunday 19 February 2012 in Melbourne and will receive $500 cash, an Onitsuka Tiger prize pack, a two-year subscription to Treadlie Magazine and editorial coverage in the 2012 June issue.
