Durex is calling on emerging creatives worldwide to try their hand at condom packaging for its newest condom range.
Running for next six weeks, the Durex Naked Box competition will offer one designer the chance to have their design on a new Durex condom box, which will be distributed and sold globally. The competition is hosted online, and designers can create or upload and share their Naked Box design, get their votes and find out who – and what country – is scoring the most votes. One finalist will be chosen every week for six weeks based on the highest number of votes they receive, encouraging everyone to jump online and vote for their favourite. An additional six finalists will be chosen based on the most overall votes (twelve finalists in total).
The winner will get the chance to work with Durex’s global design agency to help ready their box design for bedrooms across the world. They will also pocket GBP £2,000 and a year’s supply of condoms. Other prizes will be up for grabs each week including iPads, underwear, t-shirts and other Durex products (special Australian-only winners will also be announced throughout the competition).
The winning design will be chosen by a panel of judges including executive director of MTV, Georgia Arnold; Urban graffiti artist, Smash 137; European snowboarding pro, Silvia Muller; leading designer/artist from China, Liu Zhizhi, and international advertising guru, Sue Dawn from The Brand Union.
