The first CreativeMornings Melbourne event has been announced! You’d better get in quick as limited tickets are available. Event details as follows:
Date & time: Friday, June 29, 2012 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM (GMT+1000)
Place: This month’s event will be hosted by The Jacky Winter Group at The Compound Interest: Centre for The Applied Arts, in Collingwood.
Speakers: Tim Devine and Jesse Stevens from Media Lab Melbourne. Alluring technologies will continue to develop and feed our everyday experiences, and although a great amount of creativity is required in the development of technology, an equal amount is required in it’s application. Technology results in a plethora of architected or designed experiences, which are now a primary quality of modern life – throughout our homes, offices, transitional and social environments.
Tim Devine and Jesse Stevens co-founded Media Lab Melbourne with Pierre Proske to promote collaboration between artists, designers, scientists, technologists, couturiers, performers, players, crafters and creatives. Recently they collaborated on a haptic networked jewellery series connecting people with astronomical and planetary events and will soon try to redefine what a screen could be in their upcoming Sprint ANTISCREEN.
Tickets: Free. Register here.
