Apps today are a dime a dozen. Some exceed our wildest expectations of success and handheld entertainment (yes, we’re looking at you, Angry Birds) while others fail miserably.
Initiated by Cutting Edge, Make Me Appy seeks to uncover the next promising ‘app idea’ with a competition that will develop the idea and bring it to life.
The campaign is open to all creative, advertising, production, design and marketing communities who are invited to submit their best app idea to be shared with the community of technologically savvy app users and enthusiasts alike.
The winning app idea will have their app made for free, produced by the digital team at Cutting Edge up to the value of $20 000. This includes scoping, design and development as well as the official launch on the App Store.
Entries will be judged by Dave Bullard, Editor of Macworld Australia (a sister title of desktop magazine) and assessed on creativity, originality, commercial viability and adherence to budget. Fostering a ‘sharing is caring’ mentality, entrants will retain ownership of the winning submission with Macworld Australia and Cutting Edge acting as facilitators to realise the project.
The competition closes 31 August 2012 at 11:55pm.
