Calling all budding filmmakers, Mobile Screenfest is back in 2011.

The competition is calling for submissions of short films, ranging from 30 seconds to four minutes, which have been shot on a mobile phone or tablet device. There are ten categories (see below for full listing) but the success of 2010’s event has brought with it a few new interesting categories, such as the ‘Eleven Out of 10 Award’ – presented to the best video advertisement for Channel Eleven. The submission can be up to 60 seconds in length and, of course, has to be shot on a mobile phone (and it closes a week later than the rest of the categories 21 August).

Get shooting, as there’s a chance to win over $10 000 in cash. Entries close on 14th August 2011, with winners announced and screened at the Mobile Screenfest International Awards Night in late October 2011.
