Pantone has announced that an additional 336 colours have been added to its Plus Series range, bringing the total to 1677 colours. The Plus Series was introduced in 2010, as an expanded version of the standard PMS range.
The colours range from pastels to mid-tones to vivid brights to neutrals and are available as coated and uncoated versions. The decision to include additional colours stemmed from a need to “include a wider variety of values, saturation and undertones,” say the Pantone team. The colours will be numbered from 2001 through to 2336.
The 336 new additions are available immediately and can be purchased from the Pantone website and through Pantone resellers worldwide. The additions will be included in the following Pantone Plus Series products, as well as all bundles that include the following products:
- Formula Guide (Solid Coated and Uncoated)
- Solid Chips (Coated and Uncoated)
- Colour Bridge (Coated or Uncoated)
- Designer Field Guide (Coated or Uncoated)
