Pentagram has welcomed Emily Oberman as a partner, the newest addition since Eddie Opara’s hire as partner in 2010.
Oberman has had a rich history in design in her 42 years. She is the co-founder of multi-disciplinary studio, Number 17 (which she founded with Bonnie Siegler when she was just 22), has worked on campaigns for a range of top US brands and is the force behind a number of key logos including Saturday Night Live, Late Night With Jimmy Fallon and 30 Rock.
According to Pentagram partner Michael Bierut, one of the main reasons for her appointment is her versatility. “She can move effortlessly from identity and print to motion graphics and advertising, some disciplines that have long interested us but which have been underrepresented here.”
