Garage sales are not always met with the greatest reception, what with bed linen that’s survived three generations and VHS copies of the Twilight Zone, usually there is not that much on offer. Semi-Permanent is proving otherwise, holding a garage sale next week at its Sydney office, selling design and typography books for just $5. With so many of these books originally retailing for ten times the sale amount, venturing down might just be a worthy lunch break expedition.

Where: Suite 205/19A Boundary St, Rushcutters Bay. (Take the lift to the second floor, turn right down the corridor and Semi-Permanent is at the end on your left).

THanks for the heads-up Desktopers. My pal Bec and I wandered down this morning and picked up some cool books (the hardcover Semi-Permanent 2011 editions 1&2 for $5 are a steal) plus a handful of great t-shirts for $5 each. I was particularly pleased to get the very last ‘twaat!” t-shirt in the house. Noice.
