Terrible Twos Brisbane – call for students

The Design Kids, in partnership with desktop magazine, are hosting a one night charity exhibition in Brisbane as part of Semi-Permanent’s Brisbane event, on the 29 August. The event is all about bridging the gap between emerging designers and established studios.

So what is involved?
Twenty of the best design studios in Brisbane will be paired up with an emerging designer. The studio will then choose a compound word (two words that when separated mean one thing and when put together mean something else e.g. rainbow, endless). The studio then visually responds to one part of the word, and the emerging designer responds to the second part of the word, on an A1-sized material of their choice. The pieces displayed at the exhibition and then silent auctioned with the money going to a charity of the studio’s choosing.

We are currently looking for twenty Brisbane-based students/emerging designers, who will be paired up with a studio for this project.

How to apply:
Send a PDF to events@thedesignkids.com.au (subject: Terrible Twos Student Submission) with the following specifications:

Pages 2-4: A selection of your work (at least 3 different projects)
*PDF must be less than 3mb*
