RT @createawards: In Melbourne tonight? Come along to hear design legend & 2013 Create judge David Lancashire speak — 6pm @monashada. http:…
The 20 artworks designed for Terrible Two’s Brisbane are currently being auctioned off on The Design Kids Facebook page from now until Wednesday 5 September. Highest bidder takes home a unique one-off piece and proceeds go to charity.
Here’s how it works:
Head to the album on The Design Kids’ Facebook page. To bid for an artwork, simply write a price in the comments field of the piece that you like. You must bid at least $10 more than the previous bid. Artworks must be able to be collected from Bleeding Heart Gallery (Brisbane CBD) on 6/7 September.Bidding closes 5pm, this Wednesday (5 September).
More about the project/exhibition:
As with the Sydney and Melbourne events, twenty of the best design studios in Brisbane have been paired up with an emerging designer. The studio chose a compound word (two words that when separated mean one thing and when put together mean something else e.g. rainbow, endless). The studio then visually responded to one part of the word, and the emerging designer responded to the second part of the word, on an A1-sized material of their choice. The pieces were displayed in an exhibition and then are silent auctioned with the money going to a charity of the studio’s choosing.
