The Sound of Buildings Vol. 2

If you liked The Sound of Buildings Vol.1, then it’s quite possible that you’ll like The Sound of Buildings Vol. 2.

An initiative from The Office for Good Design, The Sound of Buildings is a handy architecture walking tour app. It uses GPS to guide people around these Melbourne landmarks while viewing images and listening to interviews about the buildings.

Developed by Mobile Muse, Volume 2 takes you behind the walls of another ten of Melbourne’s buildings, including the Royal Children’s Hospital, Flinders Street Station, Old Treasury Building, State Library of Victoria, Shrine of Remembrance and Hamer Hall. It features more than 40 interviews from a diverse range of people, including architects, historians, designers, builders, users and children.

Vol. 1 and 2 of the app can be downloaded from the Sound of Buildings website free of charge from soundofbuildings.com or via the app store.
