@studiocatherine Not in the slightest! Our printers just require a little extra time.
Online T-shirt force Threadless and the globe’s only T-shirt journal, T-world, combine this Friday night (8 June 2012) to ‘make great together’ in an exhibition in Sydney.
The event is an open house to view Threadless art as curated by Eddie Zammit’s T-world. This will be T-world’s first event after spending quite some time in New York launching the current edition. “Vivid were very generous in allowing us to partner with Threadless for this one-night only event. I have a few things up my sleeve even though I only ever wear T-shirts! Clearly you’ll see plenty of T-shirt art and I’m super keen to show off some emerging and leading Threadless talent,” Zammit says.
The name of the event is simple – Jake Nickells Threadless founder says, “Threadless is all about making cool things together with friends. That’s what we hope the event will be like.”
The exhibition includes 200 Threadless T-shirts curated by T-world, 10+ featured pieces of Threadless art, plus illustrator Ben Brown will be painting a wall mural exclusively for the evening.
Featured artists include David Creighton-Pester (New Zealand); Dan Elijah G. Fajardo (Australia); Emery Greer (Australia); Pascal Hoayek (Australia); Aaron Hogg (New Zealand); Yeoh Guan Hong (New Zealand); Simon Massey di Vallazza (Australia); Leon Ryan (Australia); Blair Sayer (New Zealand) and Ross Zietz (USA).
Head down to aMBUSH Gallery (4a James Street, Waterloo 2017) on Friday, 8 June from 7pm – 11pm.
