To say ACMI was packed to the gills with media representatives today for the Tim Burton exhibition media call is truly understating. Every broadsheet, tabloid, website, magazine, pamphlet, blogger and janitor was out in force to snap and record the words of this most enigmatic of auteurs. Most likely suffering some hefty jetlag, Burton made his way to the stage after the obligatory speeches from The Hon. John Thwaites (Board President of ACMI) and Tony Sweeney (Director, ACMI), to field a brief Q&A from the latter.

Burton then led media on a wander around the exhibition, a display that he was clearly quite enamoured with: “The lighting’s much darker than MOMA, which I’m really happy with.”
