Beci Orpin was given an open brief by new Australian wine maker, Cake Wines, to design a label for a new Sauvignon Blanc wine.
“Lately I have been obsessed with marble paper so I created a pattern using this as my influence, and used it alongside pastel colours, gentle fades and water colours. Once combined they looked surprisingly cosmic so I continued this theme and added geometric shapes to give it a more dimension and floaty feel,” says Orpin.
This is Cake’s first product release, with 25 cents from every bottle sold going towards supporting independent Sydney-based radio station, FBI. Kill Pixie has designed the label for Cake’s Cabernet Merlot and other artists should be adding their designs to the future range too.
