eme design website
STUDIO: CC&Co.DESIGNER(S): Peter Trigar & Andrew Dore
CLIENT: eme design
The purpose of the project was to create a new online presence for eme design that is consistent with the ethos and current identity, while making more of an impact than their previous site.
Key issues taken into account were improving the look, feel and usability of the current site and migrating content into an easy to use CMS that was user-friendly for non-web personnel. The design needed to be clever, simple yet stylish and slightly quirky. The layout had to utilise the imagery of their projects, while having clear navigation that worked on smart phones.
CC&Co. decided on full screen images for maximum impact, while creating a layout that is also responsive, flipping to an optimised version for mobile devices. The navigation is dynamic and non-intrusive; all elements only appear as the user needs them, with only key indicators left for usability.
CC&Co. allowed the keyboard to control each project slideshow, making it easy to utilise during a client presentation.
As a final touch, the site’s key colour changes every month to mirror eme’s adaptive environmental structures. The colours represent the seasonal changes, adding to this, every hour the tone will also change.

We should also add that the development of eme design website was made possible by the coding talents of Taran Hubbert.
