To celebrate the launch of cylk’s collection, the fashion label commissioned Maddy and Becc Sharrock from Studio Twocan to create an installation in its flagship store on Chapel Street in Melbourne.

The result is ‘The Spring Tapestry’, a sculptural work of intertwining natural and recycled materials. Inspired by the shop’s exposed fixtures and rustic textures, untreated Tasmanian oak dowels are held together with copper joints. Through form and colour, the work highlights the unique aspects of the S12/13 cylk collections.

Rhythmic linear patterns of scrolling and interlacing tendrils and the colour palette compliment the cylk collection and combine to create an installation, where design, sculpture and fashion are fused.
