Emerging designer: Jessica Wong

Each month we ask a lecturer/academic from Australia to introduce one of their students to the design industry.

Student: Jessica Wong
Queensland College of Art, Griffith University

Lecturer: David Sargent
Creative director, Liveworm Studio
Queensland College of Art, Griffith University

Jessica Wong is a third year bachelor of design student (majoring in visual communication design) at the Queensland College of Art, Griffith University. During 2011, she spent six months working within our internal commercial design studio, Liveworm, undertaking projects for internal and external clients.

During this time, Jessica produced a wide range of stellar outcomes, demonstrating a high degree of conceptual and visual literacy. Her attention to detail and love of typographic forms was exhibited in every brief undertaken – as was her ability to think quickly and work through all projects in an organised and professional manner. Such was her success, we had several clients specifically request that she work on their project – the first time this has happened during my involvement with the studio.
