Mumbai – City Branding

I was asked to design the corporate Identity for the city of Mumbai, with the aim of boosting tourism. The Client wanted to focus on the city’s advantages and To reflect Mumbai’s rich culture and vibrancy. From a body of research I devised the tag-line: Enrich the Senses, Which became the core concept of my design; Food equaling smell and taste, and festivals being hear and see. I experimented, using spice powder mixed with water as a medium for the branding. The logo design itself was inspired by traditional shapes, from garments and architecture.
