Digital Communications Internship

An exciting opportunity exists for a committed and passionate intern to join Australia’s leading design organisation, to assist with the development of its digital arm. The intern will be involved in a broad range of digital activity from audio and visual editing, to online maintenance, writing, publishing and development.

Commencement Date: Negotiable.
Days per week: 3 days per week, negotiable.
Duration: 3 months.

Requirements:

  • Studying towards or recent completion of a degree in digital media/web production, or another relevant degree;
  • Previous experience in new media;
  • Ability to work both in a team environment and independently;
  • Interest in Australian design and visual culture;
  • Some writing experience preferred, but not required.
  • Audiovisual editing experience preferred but not required.

Main Tasks/Activities:

Web Collateral Maintenance: The intern will assist in managing, strategising and maintaining online collateral, including the Object website, CUSP website, Vimeo, YouTube, iTunes U and other social media platforms. This will include uploading of new content, developing and posting new content, and managing anticipated changes from within the organisation.

Other Ad Hoc Digital Projects: The intern may be involved in other projects, long- and short-term, that may arise, and as they relate to the digital arm.

Supervision:

The Digital Communications Intern will work under the supervision of the Digital Communications Producer, Ross Colebatch, and the Development & Communications Coordinator, Sophie Harrington.
