We were pretty infatuated with 40 Days of Dating last year. The side project of Sagmeister & Walsh partner Jessica Walsh and New York-based freelance designer Tim Goodman was an honest, unabashed, transperant experiment on the intricacies and awkwardness of dating life. And, of course, it was fully documented and wrapped up in an engaging, visually diverse graphic package, with the heading of each diary entry drawn and designed by one of their friends (who happen to include Hort, Kate Moross, Paula Scher and Christoph Niemann).

The entire online project is about to be released in book form, plumped up with extra investigations into dating and relationships – stories from friends, Q&As, a dating map, essays on love and additional artwork. But most of all — pleasing the soapie fan in all of us — we get all the details about what has happened since the 40 days ended.

Check out the peripheral design of our lives, and the paper ephemera that surrounds our dating disasters, that can perhaps teach us lessons by teaching us to look at our human relationships, instead of just feel them. You can pre-order the book here.
