A win for Australian packaging design

Australian packaging design scored in the recent Avery Dennison Brand Experience contest, with Sydney’s The Saltmine Design Group winning two first place awards.

The competition challenged designers to use originality and skill to create a brand identity over five product categories – Kid’s Juice, Wine & Spirits, Coffee, Salad Dressing and Shampoo. 2011 attracted an international audience with over 240 entries from 48 countries.

As winners, The Saltmine received international recognition at The Dieline Packaging Design Conference in Chicago and will be featured on thedieline.com. Plus the finalists and winning designs for each category will be published in a ‘look book’ to be distributed to leading consumer packaging companies worldwide. In addition a donation of $2000 will be made to The Saltmine’s charity of choice on their behalf.
