ACMI nominated for Conde Nast Design Award

A big congratulations to ACMI whose Screen Worlds exhibition has been nominated in the Culture category of Condé Nast Traveller‘s fourth Innovation & Design Awards.

Screen Worlds: The Story of Film, Television and Digital Culture charts film’s early beginnings to the rise of television, games, the internet and the dominance of the digital age. The permanent exhibition contains 220 screen-based displays, 30 hours of moving image content including newly commissioned works, and hundreds of original objects and memorabilia.

Designed by Ab Rogers from Ab Rogers Design, the exhibition dynamically illustrates how each form of the moving image emerged as a creative medium and explores the impact each form has had on our senses and emotions, and the role they’ve played in shaping our society, from Australian perspectives and in an international context.

The Condé Nast Traveller‘s Innovation & Design Awards celebrate excellence in 10 categories – from sustainability to transport, with the winners being chosen by the public. Voting closes 30 April and the winners will be announced on 10 May.
