An answer to boring presentations

Suffering through mediocre visual presentations whether it in a classroom, lecture or conference is something universally relatable. Swinburne Design Academic, Professor Per Mollerup, hopes to offer a solution creating a PowerNotes guide to help presenters make professional and effective slide presentations.

Mollerup asserts that most presentations lack design thinking, which if implemented not only enhances aesthetic but also maximizes their educational potential. The guide offers practical tips in coordinating visual and spoken parts of presenting, improving dull and uninspired presentations into a more engaging format.

A recent agIdeas 2011 speaker, Mollerup is a Professor of Communication Design at Swinburne University of Technology. For 25 years Mollerup led the award winning Copenhagen DesignLab. An eminent figure of both Scandinavian and Australian design, Mollerup is also author of numerous best-selling books on design including: Marks of Excellence: The History and Taxonomy of Trademarks, Wayshowing: A Guide to Environmental Signage.
