An industry espionage in Melbourne

If this is not in your calendar yet, you better pencil it down right now. Sex, Drugs & Helvetica will be taking over Melbourne this Friday, September 11. The conference had a successful run in Brisbane last week and now Melbournians, it’s your turn to be part of this ‘industry espionage’.

This year, as you may already know, the conference has re-vamped its usual, annual seminar and has included two Masterclasses into its line-up. These classes are designed to be intimate workshops with the international speakers of this year’s program. The first Masterclass will be held by AIGA medallist Cheryl Heller on how to communicate effectively and the second is by James Greenfield, the co-founder of Studio Koto, who will run through creating a meaningful brand and, as he describes, how to “bridge the gap between designers, clients and their customers”.

You will also hear from Interbrand Creative Director Ben Miles who has worked with the likes of Telstra, Carhatt and AGDA and how he helped re-brand one of New Zealand’s biggest brands, SKY TV. Ben will be speaking about a simple yet powerful philosophy – Pro- positivity.

The other speakers at the conference include Nick Cox, co-founder of Projects of Imagination, Zoe Pollitt, Founder of Eskimo and Daniel Banik, co- founder of August.
