It’s not everyday a printer gives you a call and says “We want you to experiment with our super speccy new service using awesome inks and stock for nothing!” but today… it happened.

Digitalpress, a Sydney-based (but online too) digital printer, have just launched WhiteInkPrint — the ability to print in white ink using a digital press, on any stock, and in one pass. They have made it affordable and easy and the results are pretty luminous. And they have offered to print your artwork file, on A3 on any of the stocked Colorplan papers, and send it to you.  For nothing.

Yep – try out the process, in a reasonable size, and on your choice of Colorplan.

The catch is, they want you to know how flexible and impactful the process can be. Sure, they could have had a sample book printed and sent around the country. But they also could show you by letting you experiment with it, using your own ideas and approaches. And that’s not all, either.

If you love the results, take a picture and share on Instagram with @digital_press and #digitalpresswhiteinkprint and #bjballcolorplan, and you could also win stuff. You help spread the word and they get a design panel to scroll through the tagged work and award $500 Apple voucher to a first prize winner, $250 Beautiful Pages voucher to a second prize winner, and a Spotify subscription to the third.
