City of Melbourne – Infographic competition

The City of Melbourne is putting forward the question to students and emerging designers – ‘Business: Why Melbourne?’ – and asking for an infographic in response.

The infographic needs to contain certain facts and figures (download the list) and explain to an international audience why Melbourne is a creative, innovative and knowledge-rich city for businesses to invest and operate in. The statistics for inclusion cover Melbourne’s achievements, strengths in knowledge and innovation, and a snapshot of the city’s business and cultural elements.

The winner will receive a $2013 cash prize, while their infographic will be used across the City of Melbourne’s Enterprise Melbourne initiatives (through presentations, publications and online). Designers retain copyright of their design.

The deadline for entries is 24 January 2013. Five finalists will be chosen by City of Melbourne CEO, Kathy Alexander together with Manager of Research Austin Ley and Business Consultant Helen Ward. Thereafter, the winner will be decided by public vote and be announced on 15 February 2013.
