Create Awards 2015: want to celebrate with your client?

Published:  May 25, 2015

This year, the Create Awards recognises all the relationships that contribute to positive outcomes in design, as we invite the clients to take part in the celebrations, and be awarded alongside their creative teams.

The Create Awards are here to recognise the projects that persevere, that push through and make a difference – either to the client, society or the design profession itself. Invite your client to champion the creative outcomes you’ve achieved together … and don’t forget to submit your project!

A word from our judges:

“There should be a space within our conversations (and award nights) where we recognise clients. Without them providing the opportunity, instilling trust and wearing the risk many great works would never come to be. This acknowledgment could prove significant – most of all successful clients leveraging their networks to promote the value of great creative.”

— Linda Jukic, Hulsbosch

“More often than not, successful projects are driven by a strong collaboration and understanding between designer and client – good clients bring out the best in a designer. Why not reward them for their decision making and bravery? If we can include those who work with designers at awards nights they will see the value of how strong partnerships lead to successful projects, creating a shared understanding between designer and client about what it takes to create award-winning design outcomes. Any client would be proud if their project won an award, and if they’re being rewarded for it then hopefully, in turn this would create an environment where we have clients striving to win design awards.”

— Jack Mussett, Motherbird

“It’s important that graphic design awards recognise the client or business who paid for the work as much as it does the person or people who did the work. The more this is genuinely done the more effective the awards will be in promoting the industry.”

— Adam Ferrier, Cummins & Partners
