D&AD Awards 2013 – deadline approaching

A reminder that there are just under two weeks to go until entries into the 2013 D&AD Awards close. The online entry deadline is 30 January 2013 (with a deadline for postal entries to reach the D&AD’s London HQ by 6 February 2013).

The D&AD Awards aim to recognise the best in design and advertising from around the world, with top achievers receiving one of the following awards:

  • In Book
The year’s best creative work. In Book work features in the D&AD Annual.
  • Nomination
Work that rises above In Book standard and has the potential to win a Pencil.
  • Yellow Pencil
Work that is outstanding, rather than merely brilliant, wins a Yellow Pencil.
  • Black Pencil
The best of the best, the ultimate award, for work that is truly groundbreaking. Only a handful of Black Pencils are awarded each year.

2012 attracted entries from over 67 countries, judged by over 200 jury members. To be eligible, work needs to have been commercially released between 1 January and 31 December 2012, produced in response to a genuine brief from a client, made available to the public through legal mediums and approved and paid for by the client.
