Designbolaget’s visual identity for Haim Steinbach’s exhibition

Published:  March 27, 2014

Established in 2002 by Copenhagen-based designer Claus Due, Designbolaget have recently designed the visual identity for Haim Steinbach’s latest exhibition at the National Gallery of Denmark, officially known as the Statens Museum for Kunst (SMK). The exhibition is designed especially for x-rummet, a venue for contemporary art inside the SMK.

The new visual identity draws inspiration from both the artist’s work and the venue. The design concept involves a changeable ‘X’, which is visible throughout the exhibition space and all promotional materials, the aim to keep the design subtle and flexible so that it didn’t take away attention from the exhibition itself.
