Google Buzz ad parody

Alabama based comedy group Vacant Manifesto have released a pretty hilarious parody of the Google Buzz ad, highlighting the sometimes mundane and stalkerish qualities that we all know and love from social networking.

Buzz, which was launched earlier this week, is already getting its fair share of criticisms about privacy, content and its lack of a point of difference from the likes of Twitter and Facebook.

As John Battelle from Battelle Media puts it “I am not so certain this is going to work. The reality is, Facebook has won the social graph war. Google taking on Facebook for the social graph is akin to Facebook taking on Google in web search. It’s silly”

We wonder if Buzz will flop as much as Google Wave did last year. Haven’t heard of it? You’re not missing much.
