Data visualisation specialist Kevin Wu has released a program that generates graphs of audience acclaim of TV series, based on IMDb’s database of user ratings.

The graphs are colour-coded by seasons, mapping not only the season’s performance, but comparing the entire series. A glance can confirm your own inkling that Dexter did lose it towards the end, or that Mad Men takes a whole season to really hit its peak.

The program also allows the user to check the ‘series trendline’—in other words, the overall ratings of the show from Episode 1 to last.
