As the rest of the world are busy balancing on the edge of their seats and clenching crisp packets a little too enthusiastically in awe of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, designers around the globe are unveiling their latest pieces of ‘socceralia’. Multifunctional London-based communications office, KK Outlet, are celebrating the start of the greatest sporting competition on earth with a knockout exhibition of bespoke football shirts.

Bringing together a dream team of intuitive minds to commission a collection of garments, KK Outlet titled the exhibition First Eleven, as it features the work of eleven talented creatives: Anna Lomax, Becky & Joe, Craig & Karl, Helmut Smits, HORT, INT Works, KesselsKramerLakwena Maciver, Ning Wang, Put Put and VLF.

Fun fact: the man behind HORT, Eike König, also created the front cover for desktop’s #300 issue.

KK Outlet explain that “from simple white vests in P.E to Hull City’s 1992 tiger print strip, the evolution of the football shirt has been extensive. The strip changes the mentality of those who wear them. Through the simple act of changing from their civvies into their strip the team are visually and mentally brought together as one – such is the transformative power of the simple football shirt. First Eleven celebrates this mighty piece of polyester armour.”

Along with the unique shirts there will be a vertical football pitch, collectable “shinnies” stickers, and limited edition prints. While the kits are on display the world cup matches will also be screened, to be enjoyed between mouthfuls of luxury burgers at KK Outlet’s Hoxton Square base. First Eleven will be open to the public from June 13 — June 30 at the KK Outlet, London.
