Milk Bar callout

You read about his new studio and site over here. You followed his weekly tips over here. Now Eamon Donnelly is asking for your help.

Due to the huge public response to his recent book, Milkbar: A Photographic Archive Vol 1, Donnelly is hoping to extend his knowledge on Milk Bars into a beautiful and comprehensive coffee table book exclusively about the Australian Milk Bar. To get the ball rolling he is looking for your submissions and stories:

“Did you grow up in a Milk Bar, own a Milk Bar or still run one today? As part of the first ever official comprehensive record of the Australian suburban icon the Milk Bar I want to tell your stories. There will be a chapter dedicated to a selection of the best Milk Bars from the past and those from today featuring family recollections, photos from the albums, interesting experiences, customer memories and photography of the Milk Bar today, open or closed. If you have a great Milk Bar history to share I would love to hear from you. I am also looking for interested publishers.”

If you have any submissions, shoot them over to Eamon Donnelly at or PO Box 99 Brunswick Victoria 3056.
