Published:  March 13, 2014

The Australian Graphic Design Association Limited (AGDA) is hosting the first Question Time of 2014 with three Melbourne locals – Kai Brach, Brendan McKnight and desktop editor, Bonnie Abbott – all of whom work across the field of publishing, in both digital and print. The event aims to promote an open and stimulating exchange of dialogue between students, emerging designers and established industry professionals. The guests take up questions from the attendees about design and the industry at large.

About the guests

Bonnie Abbott (Desktop / Gather & Fold)
Currently the editor of Desktop magazine, Abbott is also one half of Double Days studio, where along with partner Aimee Jay she produced an online journal titled Gather & Fold. The journal aimed at the creative industry while showcasing a cross-section of industry connections, friendships and mutual admirations.

Kai Brach (Offscreen)
A web designer from Germany, Brach now lives in Melbourne and publishes a magazine called Offscreen, which he defines as a ‘print magazine about the human side of bits and pixels’. The magazine aims at documenting and exploring the people that work ‘off the screen’ to make digital lifestyles possible.

Brendan McKnight (Frankie press)
McKnight is currently working as the brand and marketing manager at Frankie press, which publishes titles such as, Frankie and Smith Journal. In the past, he has worked as the editor of desktop magazine and the online editor of Dumbo Feather.
