Snap, crackle, Pop’Set: neons from K.W.Doggett Fine Paper

Published:  February 2, 2015

K.W.Doggett Fine Paper have just announced the release of Pop’Set, the latest and brightest addition to the Doggett Digital range — an ultra smooth, vibrant and highly pigmented trio of specialty papers.

Available in two bright colours, Lime Tonic and Cosmo Pink, along with a deep, dense Black, Pop’Set is certified for printing on HP Indigo and dry toner machines. Available in a 320gsm board weight and a 460×320 sheet size.

The promotional project below was designed to showcase the new range and demonstrate the results that can be achieved with various machines. The graphic which appears on the cards is called C-Myk, originally developed for an overseas series with Arjowiggins. The Black card was printed with four hits of opaque white ink, while the Lime Tonic card was instead printed CMYK on a dry toner Xerox Colour 800 to show how the ink responds to the intensity of the pigmented paper. It’s an interesting way to play with colour and show the possibility of producing an entirely different effect.

Jon Roberts, Business Development Manager in Digital at K.W. Doggett explains: “The Pop’Set colours are the brightest in the Australian market. This is what drew me to the Arjowiggins product in the first place. As far as our Doggett Digital portfolio goes, we’re starting to carry a really diverse range of products incorporating coated, uncoated and vinyl. We intend to keep looking for more exciting and unique products over the coming years.”
