Tractor announces Melbourne course + teachers

It’s been just a rumour for a while now, but Tractor Design School has officially announced that it’s offering a Melbourne-based design course in 2012.

The part-time Graphic Design course in Melbourne will involve a line up of local designers including Garry Emery from Emery Studio, Brett Phillips from 3 Deep Design, Jim Antonopoulos from Tank Branding and Michaela Webb from Studio Round and just announced – Andrew Ashton and Atia Cader.

Sydney will continue with two part-time courses – Graphic Design and Digital Design – involving Justin Smith from End of Work, Zoe Pollitt from Eskimo, Mark Stott from Common Design and Nick Morgan from Generation Alliance.

A further announcement is the introduction of a ‘Studio Program’ which will kick off in April 2012. It’s a full-time program for students who have completed at least one year’s study in an accredited course but would like to experience life as a junior designer and build an industry relevant portfolio. The program is an accelerated and industry paced course created for those considering full-time study but wanting to work the way industry does.

Applications for the Melbourne and Sydney courses are now open, with courses starting on 6 Feburary 2012. Head to Tractor’s site for more details.
