UTS International Animation Festival

Sydneysiders, get your animation fix at the University of Technology, Sydney’s upcoming Animation Festival.

The festival includes the usual fare: panels, discussions and student workshops, but also features films from across the globe, from UTS students, right through to a Korean showcase, a Homegrown segment, the Latenight Bizzare session (18+) and an international showcase (including selected films from the United States, Japan, Holland, United Kingdom, China and Canada).

A few workshop highlights:

Saturday 24 September
Sound of Rango Q&A
Peter Miller will discuss his sound design for the Nickelodeon animation feature film Rango.

2D vs 3D Participatory Debate
An expert panel discussing the choice of 2D or 3D design in animation with the audience.

Monday 26 September
Industry Portfolio Day
A session for aspiring animators to receive feedback on their work from the top Australian creatives.
