Last week we congratulated the finalists in DIA Victoria’s 2012′s Graduate Of The Year Awards. The program looks to give recognition to emerging designers in the fields of graphic design, industrial design, furniture design, jewellery design, textile & fashion design, interior design and interior design & decoration.

As previously mentioned, the nominees were drawn from nine Victorian and Tasmanian institutions who put forward their top 2012 graduates. From there the (anonymous) portfolios were judged and up to four finalists from each disciplines were selected for an interview with the judging panel. The judges were looking for design solutions, transferable workplace skills and predicted impact on the Australian design industry.
