YouTube reveals its top watched videos

The top 10 most watched YouTube videos of 2010 are out. Drum roll please! And the global winner is: a man from Alabama raving about home intruders on the news.

Antoine Dodson appeared on an American news bulletin earlier in the year to speak out about crimes in his area. YouTube’s partner Auto-Tune the News then took his angry rant, remixed it and released it on iTunes – voila, an award-winning video.

YouTube counted more than 250 million views before crowning Dodson this year’s winner. He is joined in the top three by a parody of Ke$ha song ‘Tik Tok’ and a video of little superstar Greyson Chance singing Lady Gaga’s ‘Paparazzi’.

The rest of the global top 10 went like this:
4. Annoying Orange Wazzup
5. The Old Spice ad
6. Yosemitebear Mountain Giant Double Rainbow
7. Ok Go – This Too Shall Pass
8. The Twilight Eclipse Trailer
9. Jimmy Kimmel surprises a Bieber fan
10 Ken Block’s Gymkhana THREE

For the first time, YouTube also dedicated a separate category to music videos this year.

3. Eminem – Love The Way You Lie ft. Rihanna
4. Eminem – Not Afraid

6. Justin Bieber – Never Say Never ft. Jaden Smith
7. Justin Bieber – Never Let You Go
8. Lady Gaga – Alejandro
