Hofstede launch new site, document new work

Melbourne-based studio Hofstede have recently launched their website, along with a significant amount of catalogued new work.

Utilising their signature cohesive simplicity, the new website is minimal, pared back to the thinnest sliver of necessary elements. This is directly reflective of the way Hofstede work — the conscious awareness of their application of ‘design elements’ is invisible for all but a comforting sense that their pieces just work. Their updated portfolio holds many examples of this, including their work for BJ Ball’s Silk paper promotion, Definitions, and Taxi Kitchen  — which, while following a palette of bold yellow on charcoal, is still an example of graphic reduction and branded simplicity.
