Stop Flooding My Record Collection
STUDIO: Alan CrowneDESIGNER(S): Alan Crowne
CLIENT: Stop Flooding My Record Collection
A piece created for the ‘Stop Flooding My Record Collection’ exhibition, which took place in Brisbane and Melbourne, to raise funds for the Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal. A group of artists were asked to redesign old Jazz album covers which had been damaged in the Brisbane floods.
The album chosen was Duke Ellington – The Beginning, a collection of his early recordings from the late 1920′s and early 1930′s. After a little bit of research and a few listens it felt fitting to create something that illustrated the beginnings of the artist himself.
