This year is drawing to a close, so we’ve decided to take a look at the stories which grabbed your attention on desktopmag.com.au in 2011 and got you talking.

We’ve spent some time  studying the analytics and general feedback, and present to you below, the top 10 wanted products in 2011. Pantone is the big winner in 2011, with Wacom’s Inkling, design board games and LEGO also featuring. Read more below:


1. Pantone iPhone covers

Pantone had a busy 2011, releasing all types of new products. A particular hit was the iPhone 4 covers available in nine shades.

2. Typographic map
Bold and Noble, present the typographical map of Australia.


3. Le Animal journals

A range of journals from Bookbinders Design with  animal-inspired names – le bear, le chicken, le cow, le deer, le dog, le giraffe and le sheeps.

4. Pantone mugs
Pantone released a few new colours of its popular Pantone mugs.

5. The Inkling
Wacom announced a new creative brainstrorming product – The Inkling.

6. The Pitch: a board game for designers
Fatimah Kabba was a little tired of people misunderstanding the graphic design profession so The Pitch is her solution.


7. INCA desktop organiser
The latest product from Andrew Aloisio is the INCA desktop organiser.

8. Giant Lego storage box
Storage boxes for lovers of Lego.

9. Wallpaper
Wallpaper Republic, a Brisbane-based design company has produced a few nice wallpaper designs.

10. A magazine chair
Not too sure where to store all of those desktop magazines that you’ve accumulated?
