Page Thirty Three oil burner
AUTHOR: Lisa Marie Corso
Lighting an oil burner does not mean you have intentions of propagating the nation. But everyone seems to think so. From one flick of a match and three drops of essential oil, everyone has pyschoanalysed you and drawn the same conclusion: you’re setting the mood. For what exactly? Romance.
We need to think hard and remember the oil burner does not exist exclusively within in a romantic paradigm. And what could be further removed from romance? Science.
Bianca Riggo and Ryan Hanrahan are the forces behind object design label Page Thirty Three and have designed a laboratory inspired oil burner. The apparatus is built upon a Tasmanian oak base and features a metal clamp that securely holds in place a glass flask. Each essential oil burner comes with a bottle of Australian grown lavender oil and an Australian made beeswax candle. Just don’t light it in a lab testing for methane or you’ll be shunned for killing the mood.
