Robust craft: MONA watches

Published:  March 17, 2014

MONA is the acronym of Montres Originales Nardon et Ardilouze (translation: Original Watches by Nardon and Ardilouze), a company that came from a chance meeting between a watch-maker and a designer in the coastal town of Soulac sur Mer, near Bordeaux. The small collection—the HMS and HMS Date— has been recently complemented by a special edition piece, the Roche.

All MONA watches are hand-crafted in Europe, with the stripped back detail and emphasis on scale and contrast of high-quality, robust materials that contemporary watchmaking demands of its boutique craftsmen.
