Sydney Opera House gets immortalised in LEGO

The LEGO Group pays tribute to one of the most iconic buildings of the twentieth century - Jorn Utzon’s Sydney Opera House, as part of its LEGO Creator Expert series.

To be released on September 1st, this impressive, large scale kit will put the construction skills of LEGO and architecture fans around the world to the test. All of the unmistakable rooflines and complex angled walls of the Opera House building are featured, using advanced building techniques and almost 3,000 LEGO bricks.

Scaling 28cm high x 63.5cm wide x 38cm deep, this authentic representation of the Opera House will even stay true to its iconic harbour surrounds with the introduction the LEGO Group’s largest blue stud baseplate ever, along with a number of other rare and speciality pieces.

The Opera House model joins the likes of the Taj Mahal, Eiffel Tower, and London Tower Bridge as buildings that have been immortalised in LEGO bricks and the Creator Expert product range
