The MINIM barely-there playing cards

Stripping back the traditional playing card of all its mirrored characters and ornament, the MINIM deck adheres to playing card ‘regulation’, but has completely re-imagined the suites as a minimalist ideal. NY-based design Joe Doucet reduced the familiar shapes of hearts, clubs, diamonds and spades to refined outlines, and the required mark to distinguish the back of the card has been fulfilled by a single diagonal line. The simplification of the cards is so unforgiving, they appear to have trouble defining their forms in photographs.
